Hello!  My name is Leah Schwarz. I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri. I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health and am a Registered Play Therapist.  I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I am passionate about working with teens and adults.

I draw on over 10 years of bilingual experience, including 4 years working with children and families in community mental health and 3 years working with survivors of domestic violence and their families before opening my private practice in 2020. I am bilingual in English and Spanish from having lived in Bolivia for most of my childhood and travelling around Central and South America.

I believe in the dignity and worth of all people and approach therapy with the belief that everyone is doing the best they can in the situation they are in.  I believe that each person is on their own unique journey and I strive to meet my clients where they are on that journey.  I understand that people come to therapy for many different reasons and have unique goals, and come with different levels of hope.  I would love to talk with you about how I could join on your journey to nurture and foster hope in your life.
